Questions
Answers before you call.
How long does an infidelity investigation take?+
Some cases conclude the same day; most take 3 to 7 days depending on your partner's schedule and activities. We require a minimum of 4 hours of surveillance per assignment, and we'll give you a realistic timeline during your free consultation.
Will the person know they're being investigated?+
It's designed so they don't. Our investigators are highly trained in covert surveillance: unmarked vehicles, safe distances, and no contact with the subject.
Can the evidence be used in court?+
Yes. All evidence is gathered legally and documented properly to be admissible in court. We can also provide testimony if needed and work directly with your attorney.
What type of evidence will I receive?+
Photos, videos, GPS tracking data where lawful, and detailed written reports of all activities observed during the investigation.
How much does an investigation cost?+
Investigative services typically run $100 to $200 per hour depending on the type of investigation, complexity, location and scope. Surveillance carries a 4-hour minimum per assignment, and background reports are quoted individually. Your consultation is free, and you receive a fixed written quote before anything begins. No hidden fees.
How fast can you deliver a background check?+
Most background reports are delivered within 24 to 48 hours and quoted individually before we begin. Reports are documented for litigation use, and we explain any limits that apply to employment screening during your consultation.
Is it legal to hire a private investigator in Florida?+
Yes. Private investigators are licensed and regulated by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Hiring a licensed investigator is completely legal, and everything we gather is collected within the law, which is exactly why it can be used in court. What is risky is hiring an unlicensed operator, so always verify the license first.
Can a private investigator track someone's phone or read their texts?+
No, and you should walk away from anyone who says they can. Accessing someone's phone, messages, email or accounts without authorization is a crime in Florida, and nothing obtained that way survives in court. What we do instead is lawful: physical surveillance, timestamped photo and video, public records and open-source research.
What is a private investigator legally not allowed to do?+
We cannot wiretap or secretly record private conversations, hack phones or accounts, place a GPS tracker on a vehicle the client doesn't own, impersonate law enforcement, trespass on private property or pull sealed records. Any investigator offering these things is exposing you to legal risk along with themselves.
How do I know a private investigator is licensed?+
Ask for the license number and check it yourself on the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services license verification site. Our agency license is A1900157 and our lead investigator holds Class C license C1500297; both are verifiable in that public database in under a minute.
Is hiring a private investigator worth it?+
When the decision in front of you involves a marriage, your children, a lawsuit or a significant amount of money, verified facts are worth far more than months of guessing. You get a documented report of what was actually observed: facts you can act on, or reasons to stop looking over your shoulder. A free consultation and a fixed written quote mean you know the cost before you commit to anything.
Can a private investigator find out who someone is meeting?+
Yes, lawfully. We document who a person meets, where, when and for how long, through physical surveillance in public places, with timestamped photos and video. What we never do is go through their phone or accounts, because that would be illegal and would destroy the value of the evidence.
Do private investigators work with attorneys?+
Constantly. We support family law, civil and criminal defense attorneys with surveillance, witness locates, background research, asset searches and service of process support, and our reports are prepared to be usable in litigation. If you already have a lawyer, we're happy to coordinate with them directly.
